How A1 prices a cleaning plan for your space
A1 does not keep a price list. Every proposal comes from a walkthrough of your actual space, followed by a written scope that spells out the tasks, the schedule and the labor hours behind the number. That way you can see exactly what you are paying for before anything starts.
From request to first clean
Send a request
Tell us the address, the type of space and roughly how often you want it cleaned. A short note is enough to get started; we follow up to set a time to see the site in person.
Walk the space together
Someone from A1 tours the rooms with you or your building contact. We note floor types, restrooms, kitchens, glass, high-traffic zones and anything that needs extra attention, and we ask when the crew can get in and how they enter.
Receive a written scope and proposal
You get a document that lists the tasks room by room, how often each one happens, the visit schedule and the labor hours planned for each visit. It also states who provides supplies and what is outside the scope, so nothing is left to guesswork.
Set a start date and first clean
Once you approve the proposal, we agree on a start date and confirm access details, keys or codes and an on-site contact. The first visit follows the written checklist from the start.
Review and adjust
After the crew has been in the space for a while, we check in with you. If a task needs more time, less time or a different frequency, the change goes into the written scope rather than staying a verbal understanding.
What shapes the proposal
- The size and layout of the space, including the number of floors and rooms
- Surface and floor types, such as carpet, tile, sealed concrete or glass partitions
- How often you want each area cleaned and which tasks repeat on each visit
- Access windows and building hours, including after-hours or weekend entry
- Whether A1 or your company supplies paper goods, liners and soap
- Special areas like exam rooms, locker rooms, kitchens or storage zones
Have these ready for the walkthrough
- A floor plan or a rough count of rooms, restrooms and kitchens
- The days and hours a crew is allowed in the building
- Building rules for entry, freight elevators, alarms and waste removal
- A list of problem spots or complaints from your current cleaning
- Any areas that are off limits or need a staff escort
- Your preference on who stocks restroom and kitchen supplies
Questions about quotes
Why doesn't A1 post prices online?
Two offices of the same size can need very different amounts of work. A posted number would either overcharge one of them or leave tasks out for the other, so we base each proposal on what we see during the walkthrough.
What does the written proposal include?
It covers the task list for each area, how often each task happens, the visit schedule, the planned labor hours, the supply arrangement and any exclusions. You can mark it up and ask for changes before you approve it.
Can the scope change after we start?
Yes. When your space, hours or needs change, we revise the written scope with you so the plan on paper always matches the work being done.
Is A1 insured where it works?
Yes. A1 carries insurance in every area it serves, which includes New York City, Long Island and New Jersey.
